This site is for the Gifted Education Coordinators in Allegheny County. The AIU’s Gifted and Talented Education program offers educational opportunities for students who possess high levels of talent and comprehension. GATE administrators coordinate a variety of activities that promote learning and explore career interests.

Apprenticeships

Forty day long learning experiences with professionals in the arts, humanities and sciences are provided for secondary students during the school year. The program provides for hands-on, behind the scenes experiences and gives students the opportunities to make connections with organizations and people who can help them as they pursue their career choices.
